Our Mission
Keep Johnston County Beautiful,
Inc. was organized into a nonprofit group in
1978. It is made up of members and volunteers
throughout Johnston County . Our mission is to
identify and focus attention on opportunities
for improving our visual and ecological
environment. By mobilizing the participation of
individuals, organizations, agencies, businesses
and industries we can pursue projects designed
to create and maintain a cleaner, more beautiful
county in which to live.

Johnston County’s visual and ecological
environment, Keep Johnston County Beautiful,
Inc. has an opportunity for you! Get involved
in our youth programs, clean-up and recycling
programs, open space and historical preservation
programs! Your efforts will be a rewarding

Major Supporting Organizations
Keep Johnston County Beautiful, Inc. values the
active leadership and support of the local
Cooperative Extension Service, Soil and Water
Conservation District, Board of Commissioners,
County Schools , Johnston Community College ,
Dept. of Transportation, Master Gardeners,
Nurserymen Assn., Triangle Land Conservancy, NC
Forest Service, Keep NC Beautiful and many other
businesses and industries. Their support has
enabled KJCB to build and maintain a model
beautification program in NC!
Who can join?
You can! Keep Johnston County Beautiful, Inc.
operates on Tax Deductible membership
donations. There is no paid staff, therefore
all membership dues go toward programs designed
to promote a cleaner, more beautiful county in
